Nicholas R. Martin serves as pastor of New Douglas Baptist Church in Southern Illinois. He also serves as President of Eden’s Glory, a ministry serving survivors of human trafficking and offering counseling services for minors with extensive trauma. Furthermore, he serves on the teaching faculty of Victory Christian Academy where he teaches bible, theology, worldview, and history classes.
Nicholas has served as a pastor at three churches including churches in St. Louis, Missouri and Southern Illinois. During his undergraduate studies, he spent his summers on the mission field working with indigenous pastors and missionaries in East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia).
Nicholas is a graduate of Missouri Baptist University (BA), Lindenwood University (MA), Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv) with additional studies in Church History at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. His current research interests include the history of Particular Baptists, the history of the church and missions in Africa, and martyrology in early centuries of Christian history as a lens for deeper discipleship.
Nicholas is married to Brittany and lives in Southern Illinois with their two children.
